J5C update
Hello dear
readers, you probably wonder if I was able to work the J5C DXpedition.
Well, good
news, I made it 4 times into the log with 3 modes.
They were
very strong on 17 this weekend (CW & RTTY)...and because I worked the late
shift today I was able to work them easily on 20m RTTY this morning.
The team
did a great job, they weren't as strong as their previous DXped XT2C, but I
think the A-index was the killing factor.
Going
through their online log I discovered that Kevin KG6D and Tiny KT6YL (ex. ON4CAT)
also worked J5C.
I met Kevin
a couple of months ago in our club station while he was visiting Belgium. He had
been of the radio for a while but after his visit and with the support of Tiny he
decided the reconnect his PL259 with his trusty FT-990. Great job Kevin
and welcome back....See below for the picture taken by Tiny
Other then
J5C I wasn't QRV. I'm training hard for a cycling (cyclocross) trial end of
January in Maldegem.
